Hiro Mashima has worked on a bunch of different manga series like Rave Master and believe it or not a Monster Hunter manga. Monster Hunter Orage was a shonen style manga where you followed Shiki’s adventures as he hunts the Myo Galuna. I think Mashima’s most well known work is Fairy Tail which still has an anime running in Japan.

Mashima is contributing the Monster Hunter universe again by designing equipment for Monster Hunter 4.
Monster Hunter 4 comes out in summer 2013 for Nintendo 3DS.
