Bethesda announced during their E3 2019 press conference that Fallout 76 is getting a major expansion update called the Wastelanders that adds human NPCs, a 52-player battle royale mode, new weapons, more.

Wastelanders is set a year after the opening of Vault 76, and other humans have returned to Appalachia. Factions of Settlers and Raiders will aim to take control of the world and claim a rumored fortune.

Players will embark on a new main quest of choice and consequence, interact with characters and their unique stories, discover the faction settlements of Crater and Foundation, and collect new weapons and armor.

Fallout 76 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Wastelanders update arrives in Fall 2019. Current owners of the game will get a limited preview later this week.
