Nintendo announced it is now selling an official Family Computer & Nintendo Entertainment System photo book based on the FC and NES. However, the item is only available to people who visit the Bonus Stage store at the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto, Japan. While other books based on that console are available worldwide, it is unknown if this one might ever be sold at other places like the New York or San Francisco branches.

The announcement appeared in Japanese and English and included images showing the Family Computer & Nintendo Entertainment System photo book and some of the pages. The item is a 30cm by 30cm square, and it is a hardcover tome inside of a slipcover. The cover of the book features box art of various titles for the system on it, while the slipcover features the system logo. Some of the teaser images for the photos within showed peripherals sold in Japan for the Famicom like the Power Pad, R.O.B., and keyboard. Two of the highlight pages also feature a look at FC cartridges with their game boards on top of them to show the difference in size. In total, it consists of 168 pages of photos of the system and its controllers, accessories, and games.
