Kynseed, a farming and life sim along the lines of Story of Seasons and Stardew Valley from Pixelcount, will show up on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X following its 2022 PC release. It will show up on August 4, 2026. Before that, however, people who do own the version from Steam can start running their own tavern now that the patch with that feature is fully live.
In some ways, Kynseed works in the same sort of way as Stardew Valley does. Our character runs a farm in a community, can do things like farm, tend livestock, fish, and fight, and become a member of a community. However, there’s a bit more to it than that. It’s possible to run businesses, such as the tavern. Also, once our character grows older, it takes a queue from Rune Factory 2 and control passes to our kid to continue the farming and business management legacy.
Here’s the official Kynseed Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X trailer. It shows off the traditional farming elements, the crafting, the different businesses, and the combat.
As for the tavern, this lets you manage a bar and restaurant. The announcement confirmed that we’ll not only be meeting folks’ requests to get them whatever they’d like to drink or eat, but also choose who will be there doing things like singing to perform for guests.
Kynseed is on the PC now and will come to the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on August 4, 2026.
