Favorite Dear Is A Dating Sim RPG Where You Send Fairies Out To Save The World

GungHo Online Entertainment released an interesting role playing game that’s part dating sim called Favorite Dear: Jyunpaku no Yogensha. You have save the world from a fallen angel, but the problem is you can’t actually interact with people. Instead you send out heroes called Braves and Fairies (that wear penguin costumes?) to do the heavy lifting.

The searching for heroes to save the world mechanic kind of reminds me of Valkyrie Profile, but Favorite Dear doesn’t look as morose and the game uses a standard RPG combat system. The dating sim part comes from talking with Braves to build trust. You can get Favorite Dear: Jyunpaku no Yogensha as a digital import on the US PlayStation Store, but the game is in Japanese.
