Square Enix announced the release dates for the next two Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy Ghosts, and both the characters Onion Knight from FFIII and Iroha from FFXI will debut on March 31, 2026. Both of them will appear after the maintenance period that day, as will a new UR Ability Banner that includes new exclusive Abilities for each fighter. That downtime is expected to last for four hours. Both appeared in previous entries, though Iroha only showed up in Opera Omnia.
Onion Knight is going to be an Agile kind of attacker in Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, just like Lightning. While the character attacks with a sword, there are also some spell Abilities in his repertoire. Blade Torrent, Guiding Swipe, Ninjutsu, and Spellbook will all be available. Both the UR Ninjutsu and Spellbook abilities will be part of the new banner. Jun Fukuyama, who voiced him in past Dissidia games and is also known as Bleach’s Yumichika, Code Geass’ Lelouch, and Persona 5’s Joker.

Iroha will also be an attacker in Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, though she’ll be a Melee unit designed to work as a DPS such as Cloud. She’ll use her polearm to attack, and her Abilities also reflect that. Some of the ones that we’ll see at launch are Chuon, Fuga, Gachirin, and Hanadoki. Her two UR gacha abilities on the new banner are Fuga and Gachirin. Since she’s never been voiced in a game before, Inori Minase will be playing the character. She may sound familiar, as she is Maya in Dragon Quest XI, Furina in Genshin Impact, Itsuki in The Quintessential Quintuplets, and Rem in Re:Zero.
