August 11th is the birthday of Final Fantasy VII hero Cloud Strife, and Square Enix revealed a Play Arts Shin FFVII Rebirth figure of him to celebrate the occasion. He’s only showing up in the Japanese eStore at the moment for 26,400円 (~$178), as the US storefront isn’t showing him yet due to the ongoing situation with President Donald Trump’s tariffs. He’s expected to appear in Japan on February 28, 2026.
Cloud will come with stoic and shouting face plates. He’ll have a Buster Sword to wield and a number of arm parts. He can also hold one of six different types of Materia or the flower he got from Aerith.
Here are the first photos of him:

We have seen other Final Fantasy VII characters in the Play Arts Shin figure line before, as it kicked off with a FFVII Rebirth Vincent. Characters from other entries appeared in it as well. One of the most recent was Zidane Tribal from FFIX. He’ll be out in February 2026, just like Cloud.
The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Cloud Play Arts Shin figure will debut in Japan on February 28, 2026, and the second FFVII remake game is on the PS5 and PC now.
