Square Enix announced it is possible to try Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade ahead of its Switch 2 and Xbox Series X debut, as the demo of the first part of the FFVII reimagining is live on storefronts now. Playing it gets you the ability to claim two additional items in the full release. (A demo happened for the past releases too.) There’s also a new trailer highlighting it on both platforms and Tetsuya Nomura art honoring it and Dragon Quest VII Reimagined.

In the case of both the Switch 2 and Xbox Series X, there are now product listings for the FFVII Remake demo on the eShop and Microsoft Store. Square Enix also shared a code that someone can enter on the Switch 2 eShop on a console to start the download. That is “D3GM3304HKQBB2VB.” The company established that it covers the first chapter, which is the bombing mission on the Mako Reactor at the outset of the game. If you go through it, you get Revival Earrings and a Survival Set of items when you play the full release.

As for the Tetsuya Nomura art, it features the hero from Dragon Quest VII and Cloud Strife riding on a Chocobo together. You can see that below:

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will appear on the Switch 2 and Xbox Series X on January 22, 2026, and a demo is available for both platforms. The game is already available on the PS4, PS5, and PC worldwide.
