Editor’s Note: There will be spoilers for Weiss’ appearance in FFVII Remake below.

Dirge of Cerberus

First, Square Enix shared a picture of Weiss from Dirge of Cerberus: FFVII. This was to highlight how the character’s base appearance didn’t change all that much between the two games. Most notably, his hair remained the same.

There’s also a picture of Weiss wielding his gunblade swords in their normal form. In this piece of art, he’s wearing the coat added for FFVII Remake Intergrade.

Finally, the last image focused on how Weiss’ swords look after Phase Shifts during FFVII Remake Intergrade‘s boss fight with him. After you complete the Intermission DLC and beat the game once to unlock the Hard difficulty, someone can fight him in the Shinra Combat Simulator after Chapter 17. During this fight, there are callbacks to Dirge of Cerberus. His weapons will change to resemble fellow Tsviets’ members and take on their abilities. So in the image below, his standard sword appears on the far right. In the middle is how it looks during the Azul the Cerulean phase. On the far right shows how it looks during the Rosso the Crimson phase.
