Ever since the 2026 Tokyo Game Show, Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy Director Naoki Hamaguchi offered insights into the games on social media, and the latest post suggests we could see more demo event appearances for FFVII Revelation. He suggested we could see more, and noted, “we hope to provide many more opportunities for fans to try it themselves at gaming events around the world.” However, no specific next con was mentioned in the statement.
Here is the full part of Director Naoki Hamaguchi’s statement that suggests we could see more opportunities to try out a FFVII Revelation demo at events:
“While TGS was the first event where players could experience the game, we hope to provide many more opportunities for fans to try it themselves at gaming events around the world. We look forward to sharing the experience with as many people as possible.”
Hamaguchi also discussed other adjustments and features the team is working on based on feedback. One is that there could be options to determine how much guidance and help you get when it comes to what to do and where to go. He also noted that there will be a Chapter Select feature.
There are still a number of big gaming and video game-adjacent events and cons coming up soon that could end up offering an opportunity to see FFVII Revelation and Square Enix. A New York Comic Con appearance is already confirmed, as there will be a panel with the voice actors at the event at 11am ET on October 8, 2026. Square Enix already said that will be streamed. Paris Games Week will also take place October 22-25, 2026.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation will come to the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on April 8, 2027, and it’s unknown when we could next see a demo for this entry in the FFVII remake trilogy.
