Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy Director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed the piano minigame from FFVII Rebirth will be back in Revelation and expanded. Most notably, he confirmed on social media that more instruments will be available to play when going through it. He also shared a French screenshot highlighting how that gameplay element will look in the third part of this series.
In the statement, Hamaguchi claimed there will be “more features and improvements.” That’s also when the extra instruments came up. In the French screenshot for the minigame in FFVII Revelation, the options are piano, acoustic guitar, drums, and contrebasse. In the background, we see Tifa at the piano. It also still shows the same circular dial for notes.
