Square Enix announced a new Free Login Campaign to celebrate the 10th anniversary of FFXIV: A Realm Reborn, which will allow lapsed players to return to for 14 days without paying for a subscription. The campaign takes place August 9-31, 2023 and is available on all platforms.
To be eligible for the free 14 days, you must have a previously purchased copy of FFXIV registered to your account. It must be inactive for 90 days. If so, then you can download the client and log in, which should activate your trial. Once activated, you will just need to finish installing the game before you are ready to play.
FFXIV recently held its 2023 US Fanfest in Las Vegas, where the next expansion was revealed as Dawntrail. The game also recently received a set of adjustments to PVP balance as well as a new set of armor to earn during the Moonfire Faire event.
Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available on the PC, PS4 and PS5. We will see a version of the MMORPG coming to Xbox Series X in Spring, 2024. The FFXIV: A Realm Reborn anniversary login campaign will be active from August 9-31, 2023 for former players who want to return for two weeks.
