FFXIV Umbrella and Parasol Mounts Now Available in China

Square Enix announced two new umbrella theme mounts for Final Fantasy XIV called Magicked Umbrella and Magicked Parasol. Both of them include special effects when they are in use. They are now available for Chinese players. We still don’t know when the mounts will be available overseas. [Thanks, umadori0726!]

The Magicked Umbrella uses a regular black umbrella as the base. Its description reads “Summon forth your magicked umbrella to whisk you off your feet in the most delightful way.” The Magicked Parasol uses a pink parasol, and the journal entries of both items reveal that they were created by a certain elderly mage in her youth, intending to sell them to fund her research. These are airborne mounts, and they have special audiovisual effects when using them. The parasol and the umbrella both play the same short music track, and flowers will surround the mount while deployed.
