The global version of Fate/Grand Order finally got the celebratory Fate/Samurai Remnant Waxing Moon Chronicles event on January 7, 2026, and this FGO crossover comes about two years after the Japanese version debut in January 2024. It adds a banner with the two new Servants Minamoto-no-Raikou/Ushi Gozen and Yui Shousetsu, as well as offers event quest participants a free Miyamoto Iori unit. All of them are inspired by the Musou game. This crossover runs until January 27, 2026.

The Waxing Moon Chronicles event is identical in both the Japanese and global versions of Fate/Grand Order, with worldwide event covering the Waxing Moon Ritual during the Keian period in Edo, just as in Samurai Remnant. Jin Haganeya, who handled the Fate/Grand Order Arcade crossover event for FGO, returned to write this one. A prologue and the first two main acts should be available immediately, and additional acts through 16 will show up over the next few days.

Here’s the official trailer.

There’s also an additional trailer going over the main characters. These are SR Saber Miyamoto Iori, Saber Yamato Takeru, SR Caster Yui Shozousetsu, and SSR Avenger Minamoto-no-Raikou/Ushi Gozen.

There are also individual trailers for their Noble Phantasms. Here’s Miyamoto Iori performing Hidden Sword, Soaring Brilliance.

This is Yui Shousetsu’s Selfless Liberator, Unsparing Devotion.

And you can see Minamoto-no-Raikou/Ushi Gozen’s Ox-King Inverted – Thundering Tempest here:

Fate/Grand Order is available for mobile devices worldwide, Fate/Samurai Remnant is on the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC, and the FGO Waxing Moon Chronicles crossover event is live in the global version until January 27, 2026.
