Arika’s Fighting EX Layer will be getting more quality-of-life adjustments that will hopefully make finding worthy opponents a little easier. Vice President Ichiro Mihara took to Twitter to discuss August 28, 2020 update details. Fighting EX Layer Battle Approval will be added alongside details about someone’s connection and country.
Mihara briefly outlined how each of these functions will work and shared a screenshot. When you head into a Ranked Match, you’ll see a brief pop-up offering information about your possible foe. You’ll be able to see how strong the connection is and what country the opponent is from. If you are playing on a PlayStation 4, it will even tell you if someone would, say, be playing over WiFi or Lan.
Here are both of Mihara’s tweets about the changes headed to the game this month.
-Changes to Super Illusion
-Adjustment around the disconnection. The above is planned.

Thanks for the advice from BNE Harada.#FEXL

As for the reference to Bandai Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada at the end, Tekken 7 will also be getting similar features.
This would make two Fighting EX Layer multiplayer-focused updates in one month. At the beginning of August 2020, Arika added rollback netcode. Back in July 2020, Area was added to the roster.
Fighting EX Layer is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC. The Fighting EX Layer battle approval and connection detail update will arrive on August 28, 2020.
