Square Enix opened a site for Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (thanks for the tip Justin!!) and the product information section caught my attention. See the number of players? It says 1-4.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is a role playing game where you visit characters from Final Fantasy IV years in the future. How do four players fit into the picture? Will Square Enix split control of the party a la an option in Final Fantasy VI? Or will Final Fantasy IV: The After Years come with dragoon training mini-games?
Update: Joystiq buzzed Square Enix and found out what the multiplayer feature is. It’s shared character control during battles similar to Final Fantasy VI and IX.
