Good Smile Company revealed during its Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter showcase that it will begin working on figures of Final Fantasy characters, with ones from FFI and FFXIV among the first three. It also confirmed that the Chocobo classic series mascot will be part of the first Nendoroid batch. There are no release windows for these yet, but the Warrior of Light will appear first.
The Final Fantasy Chocobo and FFI Warrior of Light Nendoroid figures are both based on the classic designs. This means the hero is quite colorful and inspired by the Yoshitaka Amano art. He’s shown holding his sword and with his horned helmet. Meanwhile, the Chocobo Nendoroid features its wide-eyed, chibi style and expression that appeared in early games and games like Chocobo’s Dungeon spin-offs. No accessories were shown with the bird mascot.
As for the FFXIV Nendoroid announcements, three figures are confirmed. Estinien Varlineau, G’raha Tia, and Y’shtola Rhul are in development. Since they’re still so early along, only concept art for all three of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn members showed up in the presentation.
Here’s how all five of the upcoming figures will look:
