Final Fantasy VI Still Looks Weird On Smartphones

Final Fantasy VI is an amazing game and it’s the ensemble cast that makes the game memorable. Square Enix has re-released the Super Nintendo classic a number of times, but the smartphone version is the first port with different graphics. Instead of pixilated sprites, the graphics have more of a cartoonish look to them and it looks the characters actually lost some details. On the plus side the backgrounds are really nice. Here are some comparison screenshots we put together.

Final Fantasy VI for iOS and Android is slated for release this winter.
