Rather than add Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII as a full storyline in FFVII Ever Crisis, Square Enix gradually updated the game with events telling parts of the story, and the final installment is now live in-game. This also means a new banner with equipment and a costume exclusive to Vincent, which means we can equip him with the Chaos gear and the Chrome Death Penalty gun. That banner and final chapter of the formerly PS2-exclusive storyline are both around until June 24, 2026.
Essentially, this final part of the event covers up through the end of the PS2 game. This means we’ll learn additional truths about Vincent and see a Weiss the Immaculate boss fight. A Merciless White gun can be earned by completing its quests. Weiss also appears as a new Escalation Challenge. An official trailer went over the everything we can expect.
In the case of the new Vincent costume and weapon in FFVII Ever Crisis, both are designed to play off of his Chaos form. Chrome Death Penalty has the C Ability Terminal Sentence. That deals physical, non-elemental damage to all enemies and gives everyone in the party an Earth, Fire, and Wind weapon boost. His Chaos gear has the Ultra Terminal Sentence C Ability that deals physical, non-elemental damage to all enemies and gives him a both physical weapon and magic weapon boost. That also has the R abilities Reprieve, which restores his health and makes him temporarily invincible when triggered, and Shepard to the Cosmos, which boosts his Earth, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Water, and Wind ability damage and his health.
Here’s the infographic for that:

The first Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII event appeared back in January 2026 to kick off the year. That went through the original PS2 game up to the Arch Azul boss fight. The second part went through up until the Nero the Sable encounter, and it also included Weiss and Nero-inspired costumes and equipment for Young Sephiroth and Cloud.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available for the PC and mobile devices, and the Dirge of Cerberus: FFVII event final part will appear until June 24, 2026.
