Final Fantasy VII G-Bike, the smartphone game based on Final Fantasy VII’s bike mini-game launched in Japan in October of last year, and it’s already going to shut down this December, Square Enix announced.

After putting in a lot of thought and consideration, Square Enix have decided that it would be difficult to continue carrying on service for the smartphone title that could satisfy the players, and have decided to shut it down on December 15, 2015 at 11:59pm JST.

Players will still get to purchase the in-game currency called “Gems” until October 13th, and will be able to keep using it until the service ends this December.

While Final Fantasy VII G-Bike was announced for the West, we haven’t heard much more about its localization since its announcement earlier this summer.
