Now that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is on the Switch 2, Square Enix used the February 5, 2026 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase to confirm FFVII Rebirth. The second part of the trilogy is on the way and will arrive on June 3, 2026, and there will be a “boost” function like the one present in the Remake release. Pre-orders start today.
While the first part of this Final Fantasy VII retelling focused on the opening act in Midgar, with Cloud joining Avalanche, meeting Aerith, seeing Sephiroth again, and setting out on a journey, FFVII Rebirth will send Nintendo console owners out into the larger world. They’ll start to head to places like Costa del Sol, Gold Saucer, and Nibelheim as they learn more about Cloud’s path, what happened to Sephiroth, and the new threats to everyone. It also marks the full playable debut of Red XIII and Yuffie as allies, with Cid and Vincent also making appearances. This portion closes out with the Temple of the Ancients section.
Here’s the full Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase trailer for the game.
This second part of the Final Fantasy VII trilogy is already available on two platforms. People can play it on both the PS5 and PC.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to the Switch 2 on June 3, 2026, and FFVII Remake is available on the Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
