While Final Fantasy VIII is available now on Steam, Square Enix has not released the Japanese version. That’s about to change since Final Fantasy VIII is slated for May 8. Final Fantasy VIII for PC will be sold on Square Enix’s eStore and it will cost 1,429 yen plus tax.

This version includes built in cheats like the Magic Booster which gives you 100 of 19 types of spells including Curaga, Fira, Thundra, Blizzara, and Zombie. Battle Assist, a booster that changes the damage you deal to 9999, and an AP Max out feature should also make the game easier. High speed mode speeds up the game around five times. Chocobo World, the PocketStation game, is also included.
