Square Enix released the Final Fantasy XIV 6.0 preliminary patch notes. The patch notes feature all major changes that will accompany the release of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. This includes both minor and major adjustments that will be made across several systems, such as interface adjustments for the PlayStation 5 version of the game. Additionally, the Final Fantasy XIV 6.0 preliminary patch notes reveal that Role Quests will make a return in Endwalker.
However, since these are the preliminary patch notes, some details have yet to be completely disclosed. That said, once the patch notes release in full, players will have access to more minute details.
Role Quests will appear in Radz-at-Han, one of the new areas made available through the Endwalker expansion. Role Quests will be divided into five categories. These are:
- Melee DPS
- Physical Ranged DPS
- Magical Ranged DPS
Additionally, a new series of delivery quests will appear in Old Sharlayan. Old Sharlayan will also have a market board for player to access. Delivery quests are exclusively for Disciples of the Hand or Disciples of the Land.
Other notable additions include the addition of new enemies. The official website features images of these new enemies, along with screenshots of new dungeons that will appear in the expansion.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker will release on December 7, 2021. Early access will begin on December 3, 2021.
