The launch trailer begins with the Warrior of Light and allies setting sail for Tural. There’s the joke about the world “doesn’t rest on their shoulders.” However, it’s then that they encounter a storm. Wuk Lamat also appears, saying her father will win the upcoming contest and she’ll sit on the throne. We also get to see some of the other contenders. From there, more glimpses at both cinematic and gameplay come up. These include peeks at new monsters and the Pictomancer job

Here’s the new Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail trailer with cinematics and gameplay (or Dawntrailer).

Yoshida reminded viewers that June 28, 2024 is the early access date for Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail following the launch trailer. He noted people need to pre-order to take advantage of that.

After that, everyone joked about Yoshida finally taking a summer vacation. Yoshida then said that he’ll be too busy working on the story for 8.0.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Dawntrail expansion will arrive on July 2, 2024
