Final Fantasy XIV Fall Guys Event Launches on Halloween

Square Enix announced the Fall Guys crossover event in Final Fantasy XIV will start on October 31, 2023. The event is started via the “Just Crowning Around” quest that will become available in the Gold Saucer until the end of 2023.

Participation will require a character that has reached level 15 in the game and has unlocked access to the Gold Saucer. When the event launches, players will be able to compete in Fall Guys style obstacle courses and challenges in order to earn Manderville Gold Saucer Fame (MGF), which can be exchanged for event prizes such as clothing, emotes, mounts, and house decorations. MGF will only be available during the event, but Square Enix has stated that it will return at “irregular intervals”.

The official site also showed an array of rewards and how many earned MGF will need to be turned into the MGF Trader at Blunderville Square. Here are some of the more notable items:

  • Ballroom Etiquette – Embracing Blunders – 410 MGF
  • “Everybody Falls (Fall Guys Theme)” Orchestrion Roll – 220 MGF
  • Gentlebean Bottoms – 410 MGF
  • Gentlebean Knit Cap – 410 MGF
  • Gentlebean Parka – 410 MGF
  • Gentlebean Shoes – 410 MGF
  • Glossy Winner’s Crown – 410 MGF
  • Matte Winner’s Crown – 410 MGF
  • Rhiyes Identification Key – 410 MGF
  • Pink Bean – 350 MGF

There’s also a trailer showing off the Fall Guys Victory Reveal emote someone can earn.

Originally announced back at the Las Vegas Fan Fest, the Fall Guys side of the FFXIV crossover event ran from August 22 to October 3, 2023. The event consisted of a FFXIV-themed battle pass that included costumes based on Alphinaud, Alisaie, Estinien, a Namazu, a Goobue, and a Chocobo.

This isn’t the only event to coincide with Halloween in FFXIV, as the more seasonally themed festival of All Saints’ Wake is also set to launch soon. FFXIV music also appeared on the recently released Final Fantasy Piano Collection.

The Final Fantasy XIV and Fall Guys crossover event will run from October 31 – December 31, 2023. Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC, PS4, and PS5 with an Xbox version scheduled for Spring, 2024. Fall Guys is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
