Final Fantasy XIV Mount Lets You Fly on a Moon with a Loporrit

Square Enix revealed its new Final Fantasy XIV mount is a Crescent Moon with a Loporrit. It costs $24 via the game’s Online Store.

Basically, you’re getting a glowing yellow moon with a Loporrit on the end and a white sheet cascading off of it. As with all mounts someone buys via this method, it’s account-wide. It works with all character types, though they could look different when in use. You do need to unlock mounts in the MMO before you can use it. You can’t store it in an armoire or glamour dresser. Also, you can’t sell it once you get it.

There’s also a trailer that shows the Crescent Moon mount. It shows how it looks while moving and stationary initially. The Loporrit is also animated. Toward the end, it shows how characters from different races look when using it.

As a reminder, the Loporrit race ended up being introduced in the Endwalker expansion. It’s a race of bunny-like NPCs.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. The Xbox Series X open beta is live now. The Dawntrail expansion will launch in Summer 2024.
