Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.4 Launches September 27, Adds Apartments, New Raid, And More

During Final Fantasy XIV’s third year anniversary 14-hour live stream, the game’s producer Naoki Yoshida gave us a glimpse at what players can expect from the upcoming patch 3.4, Soul Surrender, which will be releasing next month on September 27th.

The main scenario will be continued, with the game text being different depending on if players have completed the Coil of Bahamut.

Additionally, new side quests will be added, including the Scholasticate and Hildibrand. The Anima weapon questline will also be continued in 3.45.

Adventurers will get to explore even further in Alexander when the final raid in the series called Alexander: the Creator is released with patch 3.4. A Savage mode of the raid will be released simultaneously.

 

A new Trial will be added to the Warring Triad series in the form of Containment Bay P1T6 and Containment Bay P1T6 (Extreme). While the previous Trial focused on Sephirot the Fiend, this latest trial will feature Sophia, the Goddess.

New dungeons will see their debut in patch 3.4. Players will get to explore Xelphatol as well as a Hard mode of the Great Gubal Library.

Patch 3.4 will also see a major addition in the form of apartments. A room will cost about 500,000 Gil and there will be a shared space in the apartment building, including Chocobo stables. Note, however, that, unlike homes, there will be no gardening area in apartments.

An aquarium feature will also be added which will allow players to fill with fish and, the larger your aquarium is, the more fish you can put into it. In addition, the Orchestrion player will get a playlist feature in patch 3.4.
