Final Fantasy XIV’s Companion app has been long in the works and Square Enix announced that it’ll finally be available sometime around late July for iOS and Android.
The Final Fantasy XIV Companion app comes in two plans, Free Plan and Premium Plan. All players are eligible for the Free Plan while the Premium Plan is available for 500 yen extra a month for additional features in addition to those provided by the Free Plan.
Both Free and Premium Plans will allow players to chat with friends, check out the Market Board, and put up items for sale or purchase items. The Premium Plan also doubles your Saddlebag capacity, and allows you to hire an additional retainer (Meaning if you’ve reached the previous limit of 9, you can hire one more for a total of 10.)
Final Fantasy XIV is available on PlayStation 4 and PC. The Companion app launches in late July. In case you missed it, Final Fantasy XIV producer and director Naoki Yoshida recently got together with Monster Hunter executive producer Ryozo Tsujimoto for a special interview that you can check out in our previous report.
