Omni Link, a mixture of visual novel and action exploration game, gives players a galaxy to explore with a fleet of discovered ships, letting them converse with, romance, or shoot at the people they meet among the stars.
An all-consuming virus has formed at the edge of the galaxy, destroying everything it makes contact with. Meanwhile, the player finds themselves strangely bound to an advanced AI, Ectype D-8, after an explosion. This gives them control of a warship, letting them set out into the universe to act as they please.
Players can absorb various kinds of space ships as they roam the galaxy. Once they do so, they can switch to one of these different ships on the fly, or summon them to back them up in a fight as an AI combatant.
Players can decide how they act in given situations, allowing them to build up relationships, friendships, and romances with the people they meet in space. They can just as easily antagonize those people, making enemies by lashing out at those who cross their paths.
Omni Link is still early in development, and is looking to start a Kickstarter soon. A demo is available for players to see if they wish to fund it.
