Jump has the first details on Fire Emblem: Awakening, which comes out for the Nintendo 3DS on April 19. The story is described in English right under the game’s logo.
"Two sleeping dragons – one a sacred ally of mankind, the other its sworn destroyer. Two heroes marked with the symbols of the dragons. Their meeting heralds the dragons’ awakening – and the world’s ending."
Crom, Prince of the Iris Kingdom, is the game’s hero. He’s a lord class and carries a Falchion for a weapon. The other main character is you. Just like the Japan-only release Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem, the Nintendo 3DS game has a My Unit feature. Players can create a character by choosing a gender and different parts. Crom will meet the customized unit in Fire Emblem: Awakening, which will be a key event.
As mentioned earlier, Fire Emblem: Awakening uses a free map system. Players will be able to visit shops or select battles on the map. The game also has team attacks tied to the Dual system, which activates when an attacking character is standing next to an ally. Nearby allies can join you in battle and attack enemies plus boost your stats.
