The Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Limited Edition starts with typical collector’s edition inclusions. People receive a hardcover Valentia Arkbook and a Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Sound Selection CD. This is accompanied by a three pin set that shows pixelated versions of Alm, Celica, and Marth. You also get a reversible cover that has the new box art on one side and another inspired by Fire Emblem Gaiden on the other.

In addition to information on the limited edition, Nintendo brought up Fire Emblem Heroes: Shadows of Valentia’s amiibo functionality. The Alm and Celica amiibo each unlock exclusive dungeons where characters can level up and earn items outside of battle. You can also use Mila’s Turnwheel on the overworld map to allow you to summon an illusory ally tied to them for a turn, in exchange for some of Alm or Celica’s health. Their amiibo ally’s stats are tied to the characters’ own in-game stats. Though, any of your Fire Emblem amiibo, even the eventual Corrin one, can summon a copy of that character to help in a fight. As can all other amiibo released, which will summon a random monster to help in a battle.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia will come to the Nintendo 3DS on May 19, 2017.
