Nintendo has released paid and free Fire Emblem: Three Houses updates. All players can now get the new Maddening difficulty. People who have purchased the $24.99 Expansion Pass can now grab the Wave 2 pack with new outfits, stat boosting items, and Auxiliary Battles.
The free addition is Maddening Mode. It is a new difficulty level that is more challenging than Hard. As a Nintendo tweet noted, people who start a game here and clear it get a different looking title screen.
The Wave 2 DLC gives people new outfits and fights. The official website noted that “most students” get a new outfit, with screenshots showing Bernadetta and Raphael in more casual house-related attire. Byleth gets optional glasses. Five new Auxiliary Battles are added, with one shown in the screenshot as having twice the rewards. You can find new Auxiliary Battle background music in Options. Also, the Sacred Items Set has provided single use Sacred Floral Robe, Sacred Galewind Shoes, Sacred Moonstone, and Sacred Snowmelt Drop items that increase max HP, movement speed, speed, and strength.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses is available for the Nintendo Switch. The Expansion Pass Wave 3 DLC will be released by December 31, 2019, while the Wave 4 DLC will appear by April 30, 2020.
