During GDC 2017, Spike Chunsoft announced a new entry in the Fire Pro Wrestling series. Fire Pro Wrestling World will be coming to both the PlayStation 4 and PC. It will be entering Steam Early Access in Q2 2017, followed by a PlayStation 4 release.
Fire Pro Wrestling World will be a realistic wrestling simulation with personalities for characters and a CPU logic system. There will be Deathmatch modes with barbed wire, landmines, and steel cages, as well as Gruesome Fighting and MMA-style matches. One to four players expected to be able to play online immediately, with battle royals, championship bouts, exhibition matches, leagues, and tournaments.
The Steam product page for Fire Pro Wrestling World addresses questions regarding the Early Access period. It should be available in there for a few months to get feedback, and people who purchase it during this period will pay a lower price for the game. It will be fully playable with basic character editing for wrestlers, referees, belts, logos, and rings, as well as online matchmaking. Community feedback will help influence features, with the full game offering more match options and modes.
The Fire Pro Wrestling World teaser website is now open.
