The Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Japan will introduce a new Evangelion ride in Spring 2026. It will feature an original story, and it will also be the first 8K ride in Japan.

The webpage for the ride does not have a lot of details yet. However, we know that the 8K ride will be similar to the rides at Universal Studios, in which guests ride on a machine that’s synchronized to a video. The car moves, shakes, vibrates, and such according to the events on the screen, which will be projected onto a giant 8K dome screen. It will make you feel like you’re really watching a battle against the Angels at Huis Ten Bosch.

These VR rides are popular attractions at theme parks. They collaborate with trendy or big properties—such as the USJ VR rides based on Spy x Family and Chainsaw Man—which extends the ride’s relevancy, since the park would not need to fully renovate or overhaul the attraction. They also don’t have a lot of animatronics or parts that the park would have to maintain for visuals or safety.

The 8K Evangelion ride will debut at Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Spring 2026. Huis Ten Bosch is in Sasebo, Nagasaki. You can find more information about the park, such as how to reach it or what hotels are nearby, on the official website.
