Square Enix announced its Final Fantasy series 40th anniversary 2027 calendar and shared the art that will appear for the first three months in it. Pre-orders for the item only appeared in Japan so far on the e-Store. It will cost 4,950 yen (~$31) and debut there on November 19, 2026. Leading up to launch, the official Japanese social media account will share art for all 12 months ahead of its debut.
The Final Fantasy series 40th anniversary 2027 calendar is designed to be either used on a desk or hung on a wall. It is an A4-size item. The actual calendar will be on the bottom part of the image, with the top part of the “page” being an image with no lettering on it. The January 2027 image will feature Terra from FFVI with Magitek armor. Square Enix paired up Squall Leonhart and Seifer Almasy from FFVIII forFebruary 2027. Their gunblades Revolver and Hyperion appear in the art too. During March 2027, people who buy the calendar will be able to see Aerith Gainsborough with Tifa Lockhart from FFVII. The two of them will appear in a field of tulips.

There’s no US release announcement yet. However, the initial images all feature English text. So it could be possible for someone to import via something like a proxy service if it isn’t released worldwide and still use it on a wall or desk. The official Square Enix Online Store in the US didn’t offer any 2026 calendar, but we did see the perpetual Chocobo calendar that can be reused day to day and month to month show up in the European storefront.
