Square Enix are working on a new smartphone game with Yoshinori Kitase manning the role of producer, alongside Final Fantasy scenario writer Kazuhshige Nojima in charge of the story. We get a first look in a preview for this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine.

The screenshot above is a first look at the game, showing a little bit of what the action will look like. While details are still light at the moment, the magazine issue contains information on Moogles and job systems, along with other elements from the Final Fantasy series that will be in the upcoming mobile title.

Mevius Final Fantasy will release sometime in Spring 2015 in Japan for iOS and Android.
