Queasy Games, the developer of Everyday Shooter, has another title that cleverly blends music into gameplay. Sound Shapes is a 2D platformer where you add chimes and beats into the background music as you jump through a level. It’s an innovative game that I found myself hooked on every time I tried it at various Sony press events.
Sound Shapes was originally announced as a PlayStation Vita game at E3. Now, it’s coming to PlayStation 3 too and for $15 you get *both* versions. And thanks to crossplay you can create a level on your PlayStation 3 and show it to your friends with PlayStation Vita.
On top of original music (and player made songs!), Sound Shapes will have tunes from Deadmau5, Jim Guthrie, and Superbrothers. Sound Shapes is slated for release as a PlayStation Network download on August 7.
