Kouji Okada, Compile Heart, and Idea Factory announced a new school RPG is in development. The game will be fully revealed and announced on January 29, 2026. A brief teaser trailer is on YouTube, a Japanese social media account is open, and a website is live. However, we don’t know the title or platforms for it yet.

Here’s the first trailer for this new school RPG from Okada, Compile Heart, and Idea Factory. A number of scientific and supernatural images flash past. For example, references to DNA include “genome,” “ATGC,” and the CRISPR DNA sequences that protect against bacteriophages and viruses. “Adhvan” from Hinduism also comes up. There are also hints as to the school and environments we might explore and perhaps a protagonist’s eye shown. Folks involved in its development, like the Atlus co-founder, come up too.

As for the staff so far, that also appears on the official site. People tied to the game are Kouji Okada as producer, Tadashi Satomi as scenario writer, Tsukasa Masuko as composer, and Ilya Kuvshinov as a character designer. Many of them were tied to Shin Megami Tensei and Persona games in the past.

The new school RPG from Compile Heart and Idea Factory is in development and will be fully revealed on January 29, 2026.
