BEHEMUTT and HypeTrain announced a new farming sim called Fourleaf Fields that involves The Borrowers-size characters tending normal-size crops and raising ladybugs, moths, and snails like livestock. It is in development for PCs, and a Steam page is already live.

Fourleaf Fields is named for the town in which our tiny avatar gets to call home. We set up a new homestead and help the community. As we connect with folks, we’ll pick up gossip that can help us grow closer and unlock rewards. This seems like it could also help us build relationships with villagers in town. Like Fields of Mistria, there is also a Town Rank system that helps the village get bigger and better as we go about our daily life and fulfill requests. It also will be possible to farm cooperatively with others, allowing up to four people to work together.

Here’s the first trailer for the game. To provide a sense of scale, some villagers seem to live in flower pots and shoes, there are dandelions that seem bigger than our house, and the ladybugs we can tend as livestock seem almost as big as our avatars do. We also see our character next to crops like carrots and pumpkins, offering another means of perspective.
