After being absent from E3 2019, a long lost FromSoftware game is finally going to receive an update. Devolver Digital confirmed on June 30, 2019 that a Metal Wolf Chaos XD release date will be announced this week. The company did not provide an exact date, but did tell people to keep an eye on the Steam product page for the game. Currently, it only has a Summer 2019 release window.

Metal Wolf Chaos was one of those rare Japan-only releases where the game was actually fully localized into English for that version of the game, but it never appeared outside of the region. It was available on the Xbox and tasked people with following U.S. President Michael Wilson as he fought against Vice President Richard Hawk, who had usurped his position and taken over the country. All President Wilson has left is a mech, and he becomes Metal Wolf and retakes America. It is very over-the-top, with over 100 weapons that range from missile launchers to shark guns, and sends people through levels set in various U.S. cities.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Spring 2019. The Steam page reminds people it will have a new save system, 4K and 16:9 resolution support, and be playable in 10 different languages.
