Frozen Synapse 2 is a sequel to Frozen Synapse, a tactical, top-down, team-based shooter. In single player campaign or multiplayer, the player dictates the actions for their entire team at a time, and then all actions are carried out simultaneously. Play modes involved protecting VIPs, rescuing hostages, securing territory, and infiltration. 

According to Paul Kilduff-Taylor of Frozen Synapse 2 developer Mode 7 Games, more details of the game are to come, but with no set time frame at this time.
