Some doujin games are going to be getting official plushies, thanks to an already successful Kickstarter campaign. On January 30, 2018, Fruitbat Factory launched a crowdfunding endeavor to create stuffed toys based on characters who appeared in Orange Juice’s 100% Orange Juice board game featuring characters from multiple games. By February 2, 2018, it was fully funded, and now it has passed the $24,000 point and is hitting various stretch goals.
The 100% Orange Juice Kickstarter’s primary focus was on making stuffed toys of Marie Poppo and Suguri and hopefully shipping them out by July 2018. Poppo is an original character who first appeared in 100% Orange Juice, while Suguri is the star of the Suguri series that includes Suguri, Sora and Acceleration of Suguri. Since the $21,000 stretch goal has been hit, Sora will also receive a plushie adaptation. She is the heroine of Sora, the second Suguri game. To get one stuffed toy, people need to contribute $36, and two requires a $70 pledge.
There are three more possible stuffed toys that could appear in the Fruitbat Factory 100% Orange Juice Kickstarter, should stretch goals continue to be reached. At $29,000, Sora’s Star Breaker will be unlocked. QP Shooting’s QP is the $37,000 stretch goal. Finally, Suguri’s Hime will be made if $45,000 is earned.
The 100% Orange Juice plush Kickstarter will end on March 1, 2018.
