Fugue Works Best on Super Break Teams in Honkai: Star Rail

Fugue in Honkai: Star Rail is a 5-star Fire Nihility character whose role on teams is to facilitate Super Break. As such, she works well with existing Break Effect-focused characters, as well as breathes new life into units like Rappa and Boothill.

As a note, Ruan Mei and Lingsha appear a lot in the below teams, as their kits mesh really well with Fugue and any Break attacker you’d run. However, they’re premium units that not everyone might have. If you don’t have them, you can replace Ruan Mei with Pela, and Lingsha with Gallagher. They’re not one-to-one replacements for all situations and modes, but they’ll serve you well enough.

• Rappa | Fugue | Ruan Mei | Lingsha
  Rappa is the character who benefits the most from Fugue’s introduction in the game, as she is one of the few characters who can actually give Rappa what she needs. With Fugue to facilitate Super Break, and Ruan Mei to buff things like RES PEN and Break Efficiency, Rappa turns into an absolute beast in battle.
• Boothill | Fugue | Ruan Mei | Lingsha
  This is very similar to the above team except you’ve replaced Boothill with Fugue. Once again, you can replace Lingsha with Gallagher if you don’t have her. Boothill’s damage output was good enough even without having to use Super Break. So with Fugue, he basically turns into a Delete button on enemies.
• Xueyi | Fugue | Asta | Gallagher
  This is a team for those without the more premium options. Fugue works really well with Xueyi because she can reduce Toughness even if the enemy doesn’t have a Fire Weakness, which can help activate Xueyi’s follow-up attacks. Meanwhile, Asta is the support and Gallagher is the sustain. If you want to, you can replace Asta with characters like Pela.
• Firefly | Fugue | Ruan Mei | Lingsha
  The idea of Fugue is that she can serve as a replacement for Harmony Trailblazer after Version 3.0 comes out and players have access to Remembrance Trailblazer. This way, you don’t have to keep switching them around. So it stands to reason that Fugue works well with Firefly. As a note, Fugue’s Skill lets the target reduce Toughness regardless of Weakness, but Firefly can already plant a Fire Weakness into enemies on her own. So if you run this team, you might want to give Fugue’s Skill to Lingsha, who has an AoE kit.
• Himeko | Fugue | Ruan Mei | Lingsha
  This is similar to the party that the game gives you in Fugue’s trial. Ever since the introduction of Harmony Trailblazer, Break Effect Himeko has been rather popular in modes like Pure Fiction. Once again, Fugue fills the role that Harmony Trailblazer would otherwise play.
