The next round of character wishes is coming with Genshin Impact‘s new update. The planned version 3.4 update was detailed in a livestream event on January 6, 2023. Alhaitham is the next 5-Star character in the Genshin Impact. A resident of Sumeru, Alhaitham is the scribe of the Akademiya. He played a major role in the Sumeru Archon quests. He’s also a Dendro unit who appears to use a sword in the 3.4 story trailer. Not counting the Traveler, the Genshin Impact 3.4 banners will bring him in as the third 5-Star Dendro character in the game, alongside Tighnari and Nahida.

Yaoyao is also a Dendro unit, and is the first Dendro polearm character, as well as the first Dendro character to hail from outside Sumeru. Living in Liyue, she’s a disciple of Madam Ping, a prominent Liyue personality. She carries the Adepti treasure Yuegui, which takes the form of a rabbit-like plush. It was given to her by Cloud Retainer.

As for the Wish banners themselves, the Genshin Impact 3.4 banners will first feature Alhaitham and a rerun for Xiao. Yaoyao will be the 4-Star character on the banner. Midway through the update timeline, the Limited Wish banners will change over, giving players another chance to roll for Hu Tao and Yelan. The weapon banner will also feature a 5-Star Sword weapon.

Genshin Impact is available on iOS, Android, PS4, PS5, and PC. The version 3.4 update should go live on January 18, 2023.
