Aside from the characters you may play against, the trailer also features characters like Ayaka, Xingqiu, and Noelle. The cards in Genius Invokation will use cards based on playable characters, NPCs, and monsters. It is unknown if the cutscenes that we see in the trailer will appear when you summon a character or attack with them.

HoYoVerse has not yet released concrete information on how Genius Invokation TCG will actually work in Genshin Impact. However, we do know that there will be a PvP aspect, as well as rewards for the PvE mode. You will never need to play against another player unless you want to. You will also be able to obtain all the cards in-game for free.

Genshin Impact is available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Genius Invokation TCG will debut in Version 3.3, along with the new playable characters Wanderer and Faruzan, on December 7, 2022.
