Genshin Impact Hu Tao OnePlus Phone Revealed

Device manufacturer OPPO’s OnePlus division officially revealed the design and package of a planned Genshin Impact Hu Tao smartphone. In an official press conference in China, the company unveiled what people can expect if they get their hands on the device. The centerpiece is a specially decorated version of the OnePlus Ace Pro (also known as the OnePlus 10T) phone that takes design cues from Hu Tao, the 5-Star Pyro polearm-wielder and 77th Director of Liyue’s Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. OnePlus previously decorated a 9RT phone based on Sucrose  [Thanks, Genshin.Global!].

OnePlus used an animated commercial to promote the phone, starring Hu Tao and her pet ghost. The commercial also shows off the special outfit Hu Tao wears for the collaboration.

Sparrows News also recorded a commercial revealing the device itself that streamed on Chinese streaming site Bilibili.

The commercial shows off the packaging and contents of the Genshin Impact Hu Tao smartphone. The OnePlus Ace Pro device itself sports 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage by default, has a specially decorated casing showing Hu Tao, butterflies and flame patterns on the back. The the flower pattern on Hu Tao’s eyes is reflected on the camera flash emitter. The phone also comes with a unique Hu Tao-themed UI skin, with special Hu Tao-themed effects. These include special wallpaper and lock screen art showing Hu Tao’s exclusive outfit, themed app icons, unique sound effects and ringtones, and butterfly visuals when using the touch keyboard. Protecting the phone is a vented outer case designed with a butterfly vent pattern. A clip-on 18W cooling fan keeps the phone’s temperature down when playing long sessions of Genshin Impact.

The OnePlus Genshin Impact Hu Tao smartphone package also comes in a special box that includes a decorative standee, a poster, a sticker sheet featuring collaboration-exclusive expressions, a SIM tray pin shaped like Hu Tao’s signature Staff of Homa spear, a charger with a butterfly insignia, and a small figurine of Hu Tao’s pet ghost. Finally, a “Letter to the Traveler” card includes a redemption code entitling the buyer to a care package of in-game goodies: 1,000 Primogems, 5 Hero’s Wit, 5 Agnidus Agate Fragments, and 5 Ghostly March food items.

The whole package costs 4,299 Yuan (about $600 USD), and goes on sale in China on October 31, 2022. Genshin Impact is available on the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices.
