HoYoVerse confirmed the next Genshin Impact Special Program stream for the Luna VIII update will air on June 18, 2026. We’ll be able to watch it on Twitch and YouTube at 5am PT/8am ET/2pm CET. This will be the last patch before we see the new Snezhnaya region launch in August 2026. Though there’s no exact release date for when that update will show up yet, though Luna VIII is expected to launch on July 1, 2026.
The initial teaser image for the patch offered confirmation of things do we do know and hints about upcoming additions in Genshin Impact Luna VIII update. The Fatui Harbinger Marionette, which is a unit that consists of Sandrone and Pulonia, will be the new playable character in this update. She’s been a part of the story for the Nod-Krai Archon Quests. The image seems to suggest some Fontaine elements, a region which Sandrone’s creator had ties to, with Furina, Chiori, and Charlotte being present. Interestingly enough, it seems like two new skins are being teased here, as Charlotte and Citlali are wearing new costumes in the official art. The Damselette Columbina also features prominently, though it is unknown if this is a hint at a rerun banner for her or her being a part of this version’s story.
At the moment, we still have time to pick up one new character and one returning one. The latest banners are for the Mondstadt character Lohen and Natlan Pyro Archon Mavuika. Both of those five stars are around until June 30, 2026. Before that, the newcomer Nicole and returning unit Durin both appeared alongside new four-star character Prune.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the Luna VIII Special Program stream will air at 5am PT/8am ET/2pm CET on June 18, 2026. That update is expected to appear on July 1, 2026.
