Back when the last Genshin Impact event schedule showed up, it offered general information about Spices from the West. Now, there are more details about how it will work and some of the benefits people will get. This is a cooking event involving spices. It will also involve interacting with Genshin Impact characters in the Serenitea Pot and earning Companionship EXP with them. Things kick off on May 14, 2022.
As a reminder, Genshin Impact Spices from the West will be a Serenitea Pot cooking event. After completing Tubby’s “Idle Teapot Talk” and “Realm Dispatch,” you’ll be make seasonings and food for Nazafarin. Between May 14-21, 2022, people will seven Fragrant Seasonings recipes. These turn Delicious cooked dishes into Fragrant ones. By cooking them, you’ll get free Hero’s Wits, Mora, Primogems, and weapon ascension materials. You’ll also be able to earn a limited amount of Companionship EXP for Genshin Impact characters.
There are two sorts of limits on Companionship EXP for this Genshin Impact event. Due to extended Serenitea Pot maintenance, people can’t place or remove characters and items at the moment. If it ends during the event, people can place them there and feed them. However, based on the wording, it sounds like only people who are already present in your realm will be able to sample and react to food, then get Companionship EXP.
As a reminder, Companionship increases characters’ Friendship Levels. When the level goes up, it unlocks new photo mode expressions, stories, and voice lines in their profiles. If you max it out, you earn a Namecard. In addition to placing someone in the Serenitea Pot, the level can be increased by adventuring with characters in your party.
Genshin Impact is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices. A Nintendo Switch version is in development. The Genshin Impact Spices from the West event will run May 14, 2022 through June 7, 2022. You lose all Fragrant food when the event ends.
