Get a Better Look at Tales of Arise’s Balseph

Now that Tales of Arise’s release is on the horizon, Bandai Namco’s been introducing new characters and gameplay elements. To be specific, it’s taking to Twitter to share new details. The latest announcement has to do with an antagonist people will face. The Tales of Arise Twitter account introduced and showed off Balseph. If he looks familiar, that’s because he was introduced before by the name Viezo. He also showed up in the release date trailer

In Tales of Arise, Dahna is subjugated by Rena. Alphen and Shionne unite to fight against people who are abusing the Dahnan people and misuse astral energy. We already knew Balseph is one of these foes. His goal is to gather fire astral energy. He forces both the Dahnan slaves he owns to collect it for him.

Here are four screenshots looking at Tales of Arise’s Balseph. You can see him on his throne in Calaglia in one of them.

In case you missed it, the last screenshots shared showed Alphen and Shionne fighting together.

Tales of Arise will come to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X in Japan on September 9, 2021. A day later on September 10, 2021, it will appear on consoles and PCs worldwide. Standard and special editions will be available.
