Players can join a writing club, kindling romances and connections with four different members in free visual novel Doki Doki Literature Club!.
Players can enjoy spending their days doing writing-based activities as they get to know the four members of the club. Sayori places a high value on happiness, Natsuki often surprises with her assertiveness, Yuri is a shy reader, and Monika is the club’s bubbly leader. It’s up to the player who they try to get closer with, and whose personality they wish to know more along the way.
Doki Doki Literature Club!, despite a heartwarming premise, comes with an explicit warning. “This game is not suitable for children or those who are easily disturbed.” is written in multiple places on the game’s Steam page and its website, although it does not indicate what aspects of the game it feels would disturb players.
